These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Kuru ("Kuru," "we," "our," or "us") — a social platform where car enthusiasts document their builds, post photos and videos, comment, message, and connect — including our mobile apps, the website at kuru.world, related subdomains, and any services or content made available through them (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements. We may require age verification and may terminate accounts we believe belong to users who do not.
Some features require an account, which you can create with an email address or through a third-party sign-in provider. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. Do not share your account or impersonate anyone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk for Kuru or other users. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes your content as described in our Privacy Policy.
You keep ownership of the builds, photos, videos, captions, comments, messages, and other content you post ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content, you grant Kuru a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute it solely to operate, improve, and promote the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for content others have re-shared or that we must retain for legal or safety reasons. You represent that you own or have the rights to post Your Content, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights, violate any law, or contain malware.
Kuru has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. You agree not to post, send, or share content that is unlawful, harassing, bullying, threatening, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, pornographic, that sexualizes minors, that depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, illegal activity, or dangerous acts, that infringes intellectual property, that is spam or fraudulent, or that harasses, degrades, or endangers any person or group. You also agree not to engage in abusive, harassing, or threatening behavior toward other users. Violating this section may result in immediate removal of content and suspension or permanent termination of your account, without notice.
Every piece of user content on Kuru — posts, photos, comments, messages, and profiles — can be reported, and you can block any user so their content and messages no longer reach you. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and act on them, typically within 24 hours, by removing offending content and ejecting the users who provided it. We may also use automated filtering and human review. We are not obligated to host any content and may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion to keep the community safe. To report content or a user, use the in-app report and block tools or email marcagallo11@icloud.com.
You agree not to: reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; upload viruses or malicious code; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; harass, threaten, stalk, or impersonate others; collect other users' data without consent; create accounts by automated means or operate bots; evade blocks, bans, or rate limits; or use the Service for any unlawful, deceptive, or unauthorized commercial purpose.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or create risk or legal exposure for Kuru or others. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content license grants for previously re-shared content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
The Kuru name, logo, branding, app and site design, and all software are owned by Kuru or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. Vehicle brands, product names, and logos that appear in user content belong to their respective owners and are used by users for identification only. If you believe content on Kuru infringes your copyright, email marcagallo11@icloud.com with the details required for a takedown request.
The Service relies on third-party providers for functions such as authentication, media hosting, analytics, and notifications. Your use of those functions may also be subject to the providers' terms. Links or content pointing to third-party sites are not under our control and we are not responsible for them.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. KURU DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR ENDORSE ANY USER CONTENT. Any modifications to a vehicle depicted on Kuru are undertaken at the owner's own risk; Kuru does not provide installation, tuning, safety, or legal-compliance advice.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KURU AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY USER CONTENT. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED USD $100.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Kuru from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
